VIOLIN STUDIO

Pei-Ju Wu, violinist & volin teacher

Teaching is one of the ways I share my love of music with others. I currently maintain a private studio in Hoover, Alabama, where I teach violin lessons. My students receive weekly one-on-one lesson with a recital performance at the end of each semester. I have over 10 years of teaching experience and have had students age ranging from 4 to 60.

My teaching style incorporates the Suzuki Method, which believes that every child can learn music. Through consistent, daily practice and immersion, children pick up music much like they do language - slowly as it may seem at first, but every knowledge builds upon the last. I have received teacher trainings for the Suzuki Method from prominent Suzuki teachers Edward Kreitman, Terry Durbin, Kathleen White and Teri Einfeldt.

My own teachers include Kathleen Winkler and the late pedagogues Shirley Givens (author of the method books Adventures in Violinland) and Roman Totenberg, who have all inspired me with their passion for violin, demands for hard work, as well as the genuine warmth of their kindness.

For inquiry about my studio availability, please contact me through my contact page, and include the student's age, name, and any relevant experience. I look forward to sharing music with you and/or your child.
